The 60’s fashion saw many ground breaking achievements that went in the history books of fashion world as milestones. Footwear too, gained importance in this era with the Go-Go boots gaining high popularity in this decade of golden era for fashion. This package became an instant hit with many and the popularity of these Go-Go boots soared in the 60’s. These boots had a chiseled, round or pointed toe and was first adopted by dancers in the 60’s. A side or back zipper was quite common for fastening these boots. This style of footwear is still quite common today with new modifications transforming the looks of these boots. Laces have become quite common for fastening these types of boots in the modern world and it gives a very elegant look to these boots.

Apart from these, the 60’s fashion saw many other innovations as well in terms of fashion. The tie and dye shirts were quite common by the end of the decade and was a mark of the hippie look that prevailed since then. Colorful headbands came into being, with men and women, opting for this headgear. This tremendously increased the hippie culture during the late 60’s. Men’s hat went out of fashion in the 60’s and the bandanas and scarves became the popular headgear for men.

The 60’s hairstyle saw birth of the Afro style, in which the hair grows out naturally from the head in the shape of a halo and extends in diameter for a considerable amount. The beehive or B-52 hairstyle depicted the structure of a beehive or the nose of B-52 bomber. Among men, the Mop-top hairstyle was quite common. Facial hair too saw many changes in the 60’s fashion.
